What to expect when you get a Brazilian wax.
You will enter The Pink Tomato Salon and be greeted by a welcoming face at the front desk and take a seat. The receptionist will let me know that you have arrived. You can also text me.
I will walk you back to my clean private room where any questions and concerns will be answered. You will be asked if you need the restroom that’s conveniently located near my room.
The room will be at a pleasant temperature and smell nice. I will give you instructions and leave the room for your privacy. You will undress from the waist down and lie face up on the bed. There will be wet towelettes provided if you’d like to freshen up. There will be a clean towel on the bed to lay over yourself once you lay down. This will be to keep you warm and also keep you covered up until the service begins.
I will knock before entering the room to ensure that you’re ready. I will enter the room, sanitize my hands, and set things up while asking you specifics on what you’re wanting done. I will put on powder-free, latex-free gloves before beginning the service.
You will be instructed to get into a butterfly position (feet together and knees out).
Organic grape seed oil will be applied to the area. It might feel cold initially. This is to create a barrier between your skin and the wax to protect your skin. Trimming will be done if necessary.
The initial wax application will feel warm but not burn. Wax will be applied and removed in several sections, each section followed by pressure applied by hand to immediately take away the sting.
The discomfort is minimal and the service is done in 15 minutes or less. You will also be mostly distracted by my charm and conversation. Getting educated on waxing and after care, but also laughing at stories and maybe even telling some of your own or venting about your day. Most clients refer to their wax as “a free therapy session”. A slight amount of painless tweezing will be done if necessary. Ingrown hair extraction will also be done if necessary. That is followed by a soothing application of a tea tree/ witch hazel mixture that feels wonderful!
For the backside you will stay laying on your back and simply bring your knees to your chest. (Remember I have done this all day for 13 years and have seen it all). The backside is done very quickly and does not cause discomfort.
You are then told you’re done! You will be handed a gauze square with oil to remove any wax residue (usually there’s none because I’m very thorough) and you will be left alone to dress.
You will then be thrilled with your results. You will be amazed at how pleasant the whole experience was and wonder why you were so nervous before! You’ll wish you would have done it sooner and decide that you can no longer live without the service.
You will open the privacy curtains and I will come back into the room. You will pay for the service in the private room and rebook your appointment for 4/6 weeks out.
You will leave feeling smooth, sexy, confident and like you just made a new friend!
